Factorial Design

A factorial design is an experimental design where you have more than 1 factor with more than 1 level.  A classic factorial may be a 2 x 2 – two factors (treatment and diet) and each factor has two levels (treatment A and treatment B vs. diet1 and diet2).

First we need to develop the model for the design.  Then we take our model and “translate” it into SAS, by identifying the components of the model that are available in our data or can be created in our data.

If we open the following SAS workshop notes and go to page 10 to see how we build the model and create the SAS coding for it.
